So... it’s a trunk now. The kind of trunk that carries luggage, groceries, boxes, stuff like that. No lawnmowers that might shed grass clippings or the occasional dirty car parts that might drip a little oil or grease. No picking up sod or gravel, or hauling brush. Nothing that you would normally clean out by rinsing the bed out with a garden hose.

Man, I could never make a commitment to hauling clean cargo ONLY i n a p i c k u p t r u c k . No way.

I mean they made it a big trunk, which is fine. And presumably it is carpeted for the same reasons a normal car’s trunk is carpeted.

That said, I can’t help but feel they might have been better served with an SUV?

This is way more than carpet. It’s padding thick enough to make the bed flat.

Fairly sure I figured this out last week but I’m too lazy dig up my comment about putting in a satin bedliner to impress  the ladies.

It’s just a kit, they make them for all sorts of trucks.  Same as a Bedliner and they can be hosed off similar to floor mats.  It has a rubber backing and normally Velcro strips to hold it in place.
